Join the next CAMP Rehoboth Bus Trip to WorldPride in Washington, DC!  There is also an opportunity to join CAMP Rehoboth and be IN the WorldPride Parade.

Bus tickets for each date are $80, and include a round-trip seat on the bus, a bottle of water and light morning snacks. Bus is equipped with a bathroom. Driver gratuity is included.

SATURDAY, JUNE 7

CAMP Rehoboth will travel to Washington, DC to participate in the WorldPride Parade!  We are excited to join in the parade to show off our Pride. You can choose how to participate, whether you purchase a seat on the bus, be in the parade, or both. See below for more details about the bus and the parade. There are separate signups for the bus and parade.  Given the scale and anticipated extra visitors to Washington, DC, bus and parade details are still being finalized.  All details will be provided to registered attendees via email after we receive our parade assignments and reporting times.  The below information is to assist in pre-planning.

Bus Details:
  • Key Times:

    • Estimated Bus departure from Rehoboth/Lewes area: 8:30 AM; attendees will be asked to arrive no later than 15 minutes before scheduled departure

    • Estimated Bus departure from DC: 9:00 PM

    • Estimated arrival back to Rehoboth/Lewes area: midnight

  • Locations:

    • In Rehoboth/Lewes area, a designated parking area where cars may be left will be established

    • In Washington, DC, the drop off/pickup location will be in Washington, DC proper, but will likely differ so please be prepared to use Metro or other means to meet at the bus locations. To determine locations, we will first follow the guidance of the officials/authorities but our current aim is to deboard the bus closer to the parade meetup location (U Street area) and in the evening to board the bus closer to the street festival location (Pennsylvania Avenue)

  • Refund Policy: Tickets are non-refundable. If you can't make it, be sweet and give it to a friend.

Do I need to participate in the parade if I take the bus?

No. Please let us know your plans at checkout.

 

Can I change my mind about attending?

Bus tickets are non refundable.  For the parade, you may join/drop from the Parade up to the date of June 2.  After this date the parade roster will be set so we can communicate parade details to the organizers before June 7.

 

Will I be able to see all the performances at the Festival?

Likely no. The exact times of the schedule are to be finalized. In past years the last performance has ended close to 10 P.M., so after the bus will have already departed.

 

 

Parade Details

Is there a deadline to let you know if I plan to participate in the parade?

Yes.  All individuals who wish to march as part of the CAMP Rehoboth group in the WorldPride Parade must register at this link by June 2.  After this date we will close registration.

 

How do I register to participate in the parade?

Simply follow this link and register your name and contact information to participate in the CAMP Rehoboth contingent of walkers in the Pride Parade. Note that this is a free registration form; disregard the header called “Billing Information” - no credit card will be charged to register for the Parade. Each person must register separately to march in the parade - that's why you can only register one at a time for the parade.

 

I purchased a bus seat for Saturday, do I need to also register if I want to be in the parade as part of the CAMP Rehoboth contingent?

YES! Each person who wants to participate in the parade must pre-register at this link.  An email will be sent with any parade form requirements closer to the parade date. 

 

Do I need to take the bus to participate in the parade?

No. However there are a limited number of marching spots and once full we will establish a parade waiting list.

 

Can I change my mind about attending?

More details about the parade

  • The Parade is Saturday, June 7 beginning at 1:00 PM and anticipated to end by 8:00 PM

  • The Parade is anticipated to begin at 14th and T Streets NW and end at Pennsylvania Avenue and 9th Streets NW. Please note that the route is subject to change. The end of the parade is at the Street Festival.

  • Most contingents may be on the route for UP TO 2 hours. The pace of the Parade regulates this. 

  • In early June the parade organizers will provide the following-

    • Time and Location to gather

    • Information on how to access staging area

    • Any forms that may be required to complete in advance

  • If you plan to participate in the parade, please be prepared to travel the full distance of the parade plus be ready to be outside for the duration of the parade.
