LGBTQ+ Veterans: Tales Asked and Told
2nd Annual Stortelling Event
At CAMP Rehoboth, Veteran’s Day has been an important day to gather for local LGBTQ+ veterans. Two years ago, the gathering led to an official formation of the CAMP Rehoboth LGBTQ+ Veterans Group. Last year, that group held its first official public program in the form of "LGBTQ+ Veterans: Tales Asked and Told." The event will be emceed by author and activist Fay Jacobs.
Everyone is invited to celebrate this Veteran’s Day, November 11, with the second annual happy-hour story-telling event at CAMP Rehoboth. It will be an evening where attendees get to hear military veterans tell their personal stories, running the gamut from humorous to hellish experiences. Listen as they share insight into their military experience, about “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and serving in silence, and surviving and thriving despite the roadblocks. From folks who were outed and investigated to others who were honored and accepted, the program will let you peek behind the military curtain to hear your neighbors’ and friends’ stories.
On Wednesday, November 11, join the CAMP Rehoboth LGBTQ+ Veterans Group for its second storytelling event.
This event is to the general public.
